*Job Description*
BetterCloud is a fast-growing, innovative thought leader in the Google Apps ecosystem, with two exciting brands / products currently in the market:
- FlashPanel – the leading cloud management and security tool for Google Apps administrators (web application, with a marketing website – flashpanel.com – to accompany it)
- Ask the Gooru – top resource in the Google Apps ecosystem for tips, tricks and general training content for not only Google Apps, but also Gmail, Drive and other consumer Google products (website – googlegooru.com – we do online and in-person training events as well)
Both sites, as well as a couple of microsites we own, are built on WordPress. We also have our corporate website at bettercloud.com, and our blog at blog.bettercloud.com. As FlashPanel and Ask the Gooru continue to grow, our need for a marketing-focused, conversion-oriented web designer who can also code their own WordPress themes from scratch has only increased.
We need this person to come on board with our marketing team and bring some new ideas to the table that will help us:
- increase conversion rates and develop a professional product site on flashpanel.com
grow traffic to googlegooru.com by appealing to the entire spectrum of Google Apps users through the production and delivery of engaging content
- elevate our companyâ??s brand primarily through thought leadership on the BetterCloud Blog (you would help with custom designs and graphics needed for certain posts)
This is a fun position that will allow you to exercise a variety of creative skills, while also contributing directly to the success of the business.
*Requirements*
- 2+ years experience developing WordPress themes, blogs and full websites from scratch (B2B experience is a plus)
- Expert knowledge of relevant design tools, such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Expert knowledge of HTML / CSS / Javascript / PHP (jQuery experience is a plus)
*Responsibilities*
Immediate projects
- complete overhaul of bettercloud.com
- build new microsite for our reseller community
- build 5-10 page microsites for more specific needs
Ongoing needs
- continue to refine and enhance flashpanel.com to reflect the growth and expansion of the product (full redesign likely needed at some point)
- continue to refine and enhance googlegooru.com, as we publish more and more content, as well as different types of content (full redesign likely needed at some point)
